We have carefully considered the implications of the traffic light system on our business and team, as the safety and wellbeing of customers, staff and communities is of top priority.
For this reason, from 3 December 2021, we will be operating under the Government’s new traffic light system (also known as the COVID-19 Protection Framework).
This means everyone (event attendees, contractors, suppliers and staff) aged 12 years or over who uses or comes into the Napier War Memorial Centre is to have a My Vaccine Pass or official medical exemption.
We want to assure those attending meetings or events that we, along with our catering provider Dish Catering, are taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, following Ministry of Health guidelines.
If we did not require the use of certificates, the services we could offer our clients would be very limited.
As you may be aware, being the type of business we are, if we chose not to ask people for a My Vaccine Pass under the new traffic light system of green, we would have restrictions on services and the number of people allowed into our venue limited to 100. At orange and red levels, we wouldn’t be able to operate at all.
Our team are currently putting in place the necessary processes to manage this change in operating to ensure a smooth transition for you and your delegates. As we are all aware, this is an evolving situation and there may be guidance changes in the future which we will respond to as required and will keep you as informed as possible.
If you have delegates that are now no longer able to attend your event in person, we can work with you to arrange virtual solutions.
We thank you for your understanding and our team are here to help in any way we can as we navigate these changes. If you have any questions, please contact us.
