Napier Conferences & Events (previously Napier Conference Centre) does all of this with its wide variety of spaces, including outdoor options.
One recent client prior to COVID-19 needed an outside space for their welcome function to make the most of the Hawke’s Bay summer. The Napier Conference and Events team used their knowledge of local suppliers to deliver an amazing function on the conference centre’s forecourt, complete with six food trucks of various cuisines. The delegates had a memorable experience and enjoyed a stunning Hawke’s Bay evening with great indoor/outdoor flow.
Flexibility and agility is at the heart of how the team has always operated, however with the changing needs of clients and delegates it is now more important than ever. The team can transform the ballroom from 400 theatre style set up to a themed gala dinner for 300 in two hours. At a recent wine auction event, it required both a cellar door environment for wine tasting and also theatre style set-up for over 250 delegates.
Prior to COVID-19 restrictions Manager of Napier Conferences and Events Jacqui D’Ath noticed a strong trend towards clients wanting functions and activities outside of a traditional conference set up. There is now a move away from standard theatre set-ups to less formal and more social conference experiences.
